This one you won’t forget. Giorgos makes the strongest and most distinctive tasting extra virgin olive oil in our 2020 range. Also from Kalamafka, Giorgos is best friends with Michalis, another of our farmers. Giorgos always has a smile on his face. But he’s dead serious about his olive oil.


Like other farmers in the area, some of Giorgos’ trees are ancient;400-500 years old. They’ve been witness to the island’s history since Venetian times. They sit on the dry, terraced red soil of Kalamafka, watered by natural springs.


They make a wonderfully spicy extra virgin olive oil, with the distinct flavour of artichokes. The oil is unfiltered, a vivid green, and with the lowest acidity we sell, at 0.3% to 0.4%. Like all our oils, it can be used for everything and will enhance the flavour and nutrition of whatever you cook. But as an apero, on salads, is when Giorgos’ oil will really sing!
